Are you looking to change up your work environment and try something new?We are looking for a mechanic to hire as a 'Mechanic / Technical Writer' to create & maintain client Service Manuals & Kit Installation Instructions.
The successful candidate will become a product or systems subject matter expert with the product(s) they are working with by tracking engineering changes and collaborating with product design teams.
The knowledge gained will be used to create content in Service Manuals, Kit Installation Instructions and other documents used by our clients.
Job Description:
Full-time, with daytime hours in a clean work environment.
A mix of mechanical functions and desk work.
Responsibilities:
Research and track engineering changes with client products.
Interact with design teams.
Disassemble/assemble equipment Determine and document safe operation and repair processes for disassembling and/or assembling client products.
Update and write product support literature.
Hands-on work disassembling and/or assembling parts and components, hydraulic hoses, electrical harnesses, cabs, seats, track systems, etc.
Mix of desk work and hands-on work with machinery.
Research and reviewing Engineering Change Notices identifying changes needed to be updated in manuals.
Writers will input content updating their own manuals using the required publication software.
