Position
Summary:
This position is responsible for client service and support by handling financial transactions for lobby and/or drive-up clients in a professional manner.
Provide clients with a clear understanding of the technical aspects and benefits of products and services offered to support our client's financial wellness goals.
Responsibilities include teller transactions, safe deposit box, client service, branch security, and basic knowledge of Alerus products and services.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Originate consumer and business deposit accounts such as checking, savings and certificates of deposit.
Perform basic consumer lending functions.
Answer questions and assist with the application process.
Accept deposits and payments for loans and credit cards.
Issuing, redeeming, and settling all travelers' checks, savings bonds, cashier's checks, check orders, etc.
Promptly respond to and resolve all balance inquiries, client questions, and problems in person or over the phone.
Maintain a balanced teller cash drawer.
Adhere to and manage the Safe Deposit Policies and Procedures; assisting clients with box account opening/viewing/closing, inventory, compliance and rotation.
Manage client debit card instant issue and PIN changes.
Report suspicious transactions, activities, and situations to appropriate personnel.
Provide quality, accurate and timely responses to inquiries from external and internal clients in person, over the telephone, or by mail.
Acknowledge and immediately address client complaints.
Identify solutions to resolve issues and follow up to ensure client satisfaction.
Update and utilize CRM platform to capture client activity and effectively onboard clients.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED preferred.
Previous customer service and cash handling experience strongly preferred.
Basic math proficiency and aptitude.
Proven track record of work stability and punctuality.
Dedicated and satisfactory attendance/punctuality.
Able to work occasional Saturdays.
Ability to travel to other Fargo locations as needed.
